Summer

After completing a year of teaching, I was planning to conquer the world and get everything around the house done and in tip top shape. Lo and behold, the summer is quickly slipping away and I have many things yet to do. One thing that I will be spending alot more time on is lesson planning. But of course the school district has changed its curriculum planning guide, so...... Anyways I am looking forward to the new school year. I am re-reading Harry Wong's "The first days of school". I have many ideas from the book and the web. One of my greatest challenges is the fact that my classroom does not have a sink, internet access, or any lab facilities. I work extra hard on the lesson plan and material planning to compensate for what my classroom lacks to were my students have what is needed to maintain their interest in the class for a enhanced learning environment.
