Summer Service

I have made a determination to spend at least some of my time during the summer helping my fellow man. This week, my church is serving lunch at a local park for the neighborhood children. I find it interesting, the commonality among children that we serve at the park compared to the students at the school I teach at. My home is in a very affluent area (wealthiest county in Texas), where approximately 1 in 5 children have reduced priced or free lunches while the school I work at has a 93% free/reduced lunch population. Despite the differences in location, I could recognize similarities among the groups.
