School Has Begun

School has begun, I have completed the 2nd week of school and the year does look promising.   Yet again there were bumps.  I am sad to say that my 1st week of school was not very good personally.  My brother in-law Paul Bailey passed away from a heart attack at age 52, very unexpected.  Labor day weekend was spent paying respects to his life and loves.  

Not being able to concentrate on school ( I went to the hospital almost everyday, we thought he might recover)  I am now behind the almighty paperwork.  I need to work on a individual profile for each of my students, plus I need to arrange them in tiers and bands according to ability and expectations for testing, remind you this is only the second week.  Ahh Yes, school has in fact begun and in the words words of Jim Reeves "we have a long way to go and a short time to get there"
